Meet the Most Interesting People: Part 2
We were on a visit to a customer when the CEO had a thought. He called someone on the phone and asked them to go to his house and fetch a parcel. Then he called home and told someone to give a specific parcel to the person he had sent. The CEO said that he wanted us to wait as he wanted to show us something.
We were served tea and were discussing different solutions that we could offer the customer for their business. After 20-30 minutes the guy arrived with a parcel. The CEO took the parcel and dismissed the guy. When he had left, he opened the pack and showed us a brand-new Rolex which he said he’d bought on a recent trip abroad. My colleague and I complimented his taste and said it was a beautiful watch. He said he was pleased with it as well but thought we were the kind of people who would appreciate the watch.
Then he called the guy back and asked him to take the parcel back to his home. He never bought our product from us. He said our product was too expensive.
