2018: Beginning a New Journey

The new year is upon us. The first day of the new year brings excitement. There are so many things that are to be done. There will be 365 days filled with new opportunities. Opportunities that can be explored and converted. The new year hold promises of a brighter future, of more sales, more profits and of better days ahead.

But like any journey there are fears. There are unknown factors. Will the journey be smooth, or will it be full of trials? Will you be able to overcome them, or will you succumb to pressures?

How do you begin a journey when you do not know the outcome? Why would you even begin if you cannot see the end?

I was in the company of one of my mentors once and he said that it is just like driving on a highway at night. You can only see ahead for about a hundred feet where the headlights of the car illuminate the road, but you can complete a 100 mile journey by covering those hundred feet at a time.

Therefore, don’t be afraid to embark on the journey. Prepare for the trip. Check and double check what you need. Then start off on the journey. Make sure though that you have good company riding along with you. It will make the trip enjoyable as well as memorable.
